Connect to SQL Server
In this section, you specify the type of authentication to use when connecting to the database server.
If Windows Authentication is selected, you need to be part of a Windows NT domain or workgroup before you can connect to the database server.
If SQL Server Authentication is selected, enter a Login Name and Password recognized in SQL Server.
Select SQL Server and Database
1.In the SQL Server field type or select from the drop down list a server name or instance to connect to. The Ellipse button next to this field will refresh and retrieve the SQL server list.
2.In the Select Database field type or select a database from the drop down list.
Note that by default, the server name or instance and the database you last connected to is displayed.
Click the Create New Company button to open the New Company Setup Wizard where you can create new company data file.
The SQL Utilities button will open the SQL Utilities form where you can backup, restore, attach, detach, shrink and delete a database.
The OK button will close the form and will automatically open the Sign In form.
The Cancel button will close the form and will not save any changes you have made.
