Vendor 1099 Opening Balances

The Vendor 1099 Opening Balances form will show a list of vendors with 1099 enabled and will show the 1099 dates and 1099 balances that have been entered.  This form can be opened form System menu > Opening Balances > click Vendor 1099 Opening Balance button.

 

This form is different from other typical opening balances forms where you will be brought first to a Find form and need to select particular customer, vendor and employee to create a new opening balance transaction.  In this type of opening balance transaction, you will directly be brought to a grid-like form where you can directly enter a date as to when the 1099 opening balance was entered and its corresponding amount.

 

The quick search field at the top of the form gives you a way to search for, or find the specific vendor you are looking for.

 

Entry fields

Bullet PointThe 1099 Date field will either show a date when the 1099 vendor opening balance was entered or will show as blank.

Bullet PointThe 1099 Balance field is where you may enter the amount of 1099 opening balance.  Clicking or even placing the cursor on this field will automatically default the date to the business date or calendar date depending on the settings you have in the User Preferences form > Setup tab.

 

Toolbar Buttons

Toolbar Buttons perform an action on the current record like saving, printing and exporting.

Bullet PointThe Save button will save the changes made on this form.

Bullet PointThe Undo button will cancel out the last change/s done to the record reverting it to its older state.

Bullet PointThe Print button will open the Vendor 1099 Opening Balances Preview, which allows you to review and print.

Bullet PointThe Export button will allow you to export the Vendor 1099 Opening Balances listings to your desired file type namely: HTML, PDF, RTF, Text and Excel.

Bullet PointThe Close button will close the form.
