The Budget Name form can be opened from the Main Menu > Accounting pull down menu > select Budget Name. This form is where you can enter the name of the Budget and its description. It is also on this form where you can see a list of budget names added.
1. The Budget Name is a required field where you can enter the name of the budget. The budget names added on this form will be used in the Budget Definition, Budget Overview and other reports like reports created via Financial Report Designer.
2. The Description field is where you can type in the description of the budget.
3. The grid area will list all the budget names added.
4. The Set as Budget Name Default checkbox is used to set the default Budget Name in Financial Report Settings form.
Toolbar Buttons perform an action on the current record like adding, deleting or saving.
The New button will clear the Budget Name and Description fields so new budget name and description can be added.
The Save button will save the changes made.
The Delete button will delete the selected budget.
The Tools button will display the Copy Budget Name and Duplicate Budget Name buttons.
The Copy Budget Name button under the Tools menu (click the Tools button to open the Tools menu) will allow you to copy the budget configured from one budget name to another. See Able to Copy Entire Budget Name.
The Close button will close the form.
The Help button at the bottom of the form will open the Help file directly to the topic of the form that is currently opened.
