Deleting Fixed Asset

When clicking the Delete button on the Fixed Assets Form, a message warning will appear asking if you would delete the Fixed Asset. There is an option at this point to cancel or go ahead and delete the selected fixed asset.  If you confirm that you want to delete  the selected record, VisionCore will delete it and there will be no way of retrieving that record again.

There may be times when you try and delete a Fixed Asset and VisionCore will not let you. This can happen because the Fixed Asset is being used in other areas of the program. For instance, if you try and delete a Fixed Asset that has several Depreciation transactions associated to it, VisionCore will display an error message explaining that the Fixed Asset could not be deleted due to referential integrity.  The only way you could delete that Fixed Asset would be to delete all the associated transactions first.

The Delete button can be password protected so that other users can't delete any of the Fixed Asset records. You can assign a password to the delete buttons in the Security form.
