The Email Text Header form is used to store various introductions to be used at the top of you Text emails. This feature is only enabled on Text emails and does not work with HTML Emails. The Header ID field is used to assign a unique name to each of your Headers. This is the field you will select in the Header combo box on the Email Campaign form. When you select a Header ID your text email will append the text you entered in the Email Header field to the top of the email.
When you enable the Customize Field Names section you can help personalize each email by selecting the Customers or Prospects First Name, Last Name, First & Last Name or Company Name to start off the email. With this option enabled the data entered in the Email Header will appear first followed by the Field Name you select and then by any data you enter in the Text After Fields box.
So for example, if you were to enter the word Hello in the Email Header field and select First Name and then enter a comma in the Text After Fields box your email header would look like this: Hello Jack, (Jack being one of your contact names for example)
This feature can add a very personal touch to your Text emails. Each email that is sent out would use the Contacts First Name or whatever field you select in the Field Names. Other examples could be Hi Mike, or We have a special offer for you John.
