Segment Filter Group

The Segment Filter Group form can be opened from Report menu > Report Builder.  Once Financial Report Builder form is opened, make sure that Show Report Settings checkbox is checked so that when Generate button is clicked, Financial Report Settings form will be open.   Click the ellipse button in the Segment Filter field to open this form.  This form is used to add or edit segment filter group.

The record navigation buttons at the bottom of the form are used to move from one customer to another.  It also displays how many records are in the customers form and what record you are currently on.  Clicking on one of the buttons will navigate you through your existing data.  You may use the Find button to find a specific record.

1.        The Group Name field is where you can enter the name of the segment filter group.  This should hold a unique name so you can easily identify this from other segment filter groups.

2.        The Segment field in the grid area is used to specify the Segment name.  Click the dropdown arrow button to open the combo box that will show all segments added in the Segment Accounts form.

Note that Primary Account segment is not part of the option.

3.        In the Segment Code field, select the segment code.  Only segment codes created for the selected segment will be available.

4.        The Join field is used to set the filter condition.  Each condition is described below.

The And condition is used if there are 2 or more conditions needed to filter data and these should be met.

The Or condition is used if there are 2 or more conditions needed and any one of those conditions should be met.

5.        The Display to Header checkbox is used to either show or not, the segment name on the header of your financial report.

Toolbar Buttons

Toolbar Buttons perform an action on the current record like adding, deleting or saving.

The New button will clear the form to allow a new segment filter group to be added.

The Save button will save the selected segment filter group.

The Undo button will cancel out the last change/s done to the record reverting it to its older state.

The Find button will enable you to find for segment filter groups.

The Delete button will delete the selected segment filter group.

The Close button will close the form.

Press F1 or click F1-Help button at the bottom left of the form for help on the form that is currently opened.
