Report Manager
You may access the Reports form from various sub menus. The following is an example of the one of the fastest ways if you are starting at the top of the Main Menu. From the Main Menu, click on Payroll. This will bring up the Payroll Menu where you may click on the Reports topic. You will be brought to the Reports form.
The left hand side of the Reports form looks and feels very similar to the Main Menu. The upper portion of the right hand side of the form displays a list of Default Reports. The lower section of the right hand side of the report displays the Report Description.
When you click on one of the topics on the left hand side of the form, such as Payroll, the right hand side of the form will list all of the reports associated with that topic. For whatever report is highlighted you will be able to read in the "Report Description" area, in the lower right hand section of the form, a brief description of that report.
There is a Default Reports for VisionCore default reports and Custom Reports for custom reports.
You may then double click on the report you wish to run. The Report Criteria form will appear allowing you to enter criteria to filter the selected report if you choose. This Report Criteria form has the Report Criteria - General tab. Once you have completed the Report Criteria form, the report you have selected will open.
Note that for reports with Date report criteria, all date conditions, except All Dates, Date Select and As Of, will update the date range (Criteria and Criteria Between fields) automatically with dates specific to the condition selected upon loading of the Report Criteria form. Example, if Today is selected in the Condition field, then when opening the Report Criteria form, the dates selected in the Criteria and Criteria Between fields will show today's date, which is based from the business date and NOT the system date. So if you set your business date to 4/21/2010, then the said date will be shown in Criteria and Criteria Between fields.
If you want to secure one or more of the reports from certain users, you can do so in the Security form. There you will either allow, or deny permission to the reports on the Report Permissions tab.
