You can add an unlimited number of Users in VisionCore. Each can be entered with a different User ID, Password, Role, Description, Expiration Date and Security Permissions. VisionCore requires you to login each time you start the program using a user name and password. By using this form, you can enter Users along with Passwords and Security settings.
1.Click the New button to enter a new user. This will open the Add New User form where you can add new users.
2.Enter a User ID up to 25 characters in length. The user name you enter is not case sensitive.
3.Next, enter a Password up to 15 characters in length. The password you enter is case sensitive.
4.Next, re-enter the password in the Verify Password field.
5.Click OK button to bring you to the Security form where you can configure the user's security settings.
6.The User Role field is defaulted to Custom User. There are four (4) predefined user roles to choose from: Administrators, Custom User, Sales Rep User and POS User. Select a role from the list or you may click the ellipse button to open the User Roles form where you can add other user roles.
7.The Description field will automatically display the role description of the selected user role.
8.In the Override Password Settings area, you may configure the global security options of the user, which if enabled will require a password each time the specified action is attempted.
9.You may also set a Password Expiration if you only want a user to be setup for a temporary period of time.
10.Configure other Security settings like User Options, Account Options and Email Password.
11.In the User Information tab you may fill in all basic account details of the user. In the Workstation Specification area, all fields are read-only and hold information about the user's workstation specs.
12.In the Form Permissions, Form Control Permissions and Report Permissions tabs you may assign security permissions to a user. See Security for a detailed information about these tabs.
