The Email Campaign - Email tab is used to create, edit and store the email message that will be sent to your contacts. You can select the format of your email, set the importance, include a BCC to a specific person in your company and of course edit your email body. There is a full featured HTML Editor built into VisionCore that you can use to edit any HTML email.
Format - Select the format of your email. This will either be a Text Email or an HTML Email. A text email can only display basic text with no formatting where an HTML email can include rich text formatting, pictures and many other effects.
Importance - Select the importance level of your email. This can be low, normal or high. By default Normal is selected.
Image Setting - Select the Image Setting of your email. This can be Link Images from hosted web site or Link Images from hosted web site
Request a delivery receipt - Select this option if you wish to receive a delivery report.
Log Emails Sent - Select this option if you wish to add a record to the Email tab of the Customers or Prospects form for each contact that was sent an email.
If you sent a lot of email this could take a lot of extra space to store as it literally stores the full email that was sent in the Contacts Email tab. You can view the email in the Contacts Email tab by clicking the Ellipse button next to any of the email records in this tab.
Subject - This is where you enter the main Subject for the email.
Header - The Header combo box will only be enabled if you have selected Text from the Format field. Select from an existing header of click the Ellipse button to open the Email Text Header where you can enter a new header. If you select a Header the data from that header will be placed at the very top of your email body.
Include a BCC - You can use this field to enter an email address which will also receive the email sent from the template. This can come in handy if you want to send yourself or another co-worker the email sent from the template. Click the Ellipse button to open the Email Address Book where you can add email addresses.
Body - The Email Body field is used to store the main contents of your email. If the Format field is set to Text then you can only enter plain text in this field. If the Format field is set to HTML then you must enter pure HTML code in this field and not just simple text. The best way to do this is click the HTML Editor button at the bottom of the Email Campaign form to open the HTML Editor. Using the HTML Editor you can create a very rich looking email and then click the Save button to send the HTML Code back to the Body field. See: HTML Editor
Buttons to the Left of the Body Field
The Templates button will open the Design Templates form.
The HTML Editor button will open the HTML Editor.
The Preview button will open a preview window to display the HTML or Text email.
Footer - The Footer combo box will only be enabled if you have selected Text from the Format field. This can be used to select from different signatures to end your email. Select from an existing footer. Click the Ellipse button to open the Email Text Footer where you can enter a new footer. If you select a Footer the data from that header will be placed at the very bottom of your email body.
