The Leads form can be opened from CRM module > Leads. This form works like the Prospect form but comes before the Prospect. This includes those contacts that have no interest yet in purchasing anything from a company but might become a prospect or even a customer. When they become interested, they can be converted to a Prospect or even to a Customer if they immediately decided to purchase something.
This form is used to store all the detailed information about your Leads including address, phone, financial information and other key information. You can be as detailed as you feel necessary since most of the fields are not required to be filled in. This is a great form to store business contacts, stores, etc. It really has nothing to directly do with the accounting end of the program and is meant to possibly eliminate the need for a separate contact management program. You can use any of the Leads stored in this form with the Schedule Activity forms.
You will notice that at the top of this form are eight tabs, which help group the Lead contact information better. It is like having eight forms connected together for each lead contact. You will also notice that the Lead ID, Company, Phone, Name, Email and Type fields at the top of the form remain there in all the tabs so you always know what lead contact you are working on when switching between the tabs. The eight tabs are listed below and described in detail in other areas of the documentation.
The General Tab shows you general lead contact information.
The Contacts Tab shows you the list of Contacts added for the lead. See: Lead Contacts.
The Notes Tab shows you a list of all the Lead notes. See Lead Notes.
The Email Tab shows all the sent and received Emails of the selected lead. See also Report Email Log, How to Drag and Drop Email from Outlook to VisionCore.
The Fields Tab is used to store the names of other customized contact fields used like Phone, Fax, E-mail, Web Site, and any other contact information that you use. See: Fields Tab
The Attachments Tab is used to add, open, rename, save, delete and print documents, information and files that is related to the Lead. See also Attachments tab in VisionCore Forms.
The Activity Tab shows you all the completed and scheduled activities for the lead. See: Schedule Activity
The Data Tab allows the you to add unlimited data or questions to each customer. See: Lead Data Tab and Fields
To add new Prospects, simply click the new at the top of this form. If you need to edit existing Lead, just select the record you want to edit and make any necessary changes to the fields for that record. For additional details about Leads, see Added Lead form.
The record navigation buttons at the bottom of the form are used to move from one Lead to another. It also displays how many records are in the Leads form and what record you are currently on. Clicking on one of the four buttons will navigate you through your existing data. You can use the Find button to find a specific record.
There are several helpful options that can be set in the Company Preferences form to help make data entry easier and faster. One great feature in the Company Preferences form is to have the text fields displayed a certain way when you enter data so that it is easier to read and more consistent throughout the program.
Toolbar Buttons perform an action on the current record like adding, deleting or saving.
The New button will clear the form to allow a new Lead to be added.
The Save button will save the selected Lead record.
The Find button will allow you to search for Lead.
The Delete button will delete the selected Lead.
