Houston, TX - Comtech announces Certification of VisionCore for Windows Vista.
VisionCore is now one of less than 1000 applications worldwide that have achieved Certified for Windows Vista status. This will ensure the best possible return on investment for our customers both today and in the future as more and more organizations realize the benefits of Vista.
The Certified for Windows Vista program established by Microsoft tests program for not just compatibility with the Vista OS, but also for full utilization of the features and benefits of Vista. Each Certified for Windows Vista Application is required to pass a series of thirty-two separate tests on each version of Vista (32- and 64-bit versions). These tests cover many different areas, but some of the most significant include:
- Security - Applications are required to comply with the privacy standards of the Anti-Spyware Coalition which means they have been verified to be free from spyware and malware.
- Performance - Built-in error reporting tools help increase performance & reliability in Certified Applications.
- Reliability - Installation routines are checked for reliability and elimination of unnecessary reboots of the machine.
- Compatibility - The application is fully tested on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Vista to ensure compatibility.
