Payment Methods
Create
as many payment methods as you
need using the built-in forms
for American Express, e-check,
Diner's Club, Discover, JCB,
Maestro, postal mail, MasterCard,
phone order, purchase order,
Switch/Solo, Visa, and Visa
debit (Delta/Electron). Match
any of the credit card payment
methods with one or more payment
gateways for even more flexibility.
You can also assign payment
methods to selected user groups.
This works great if you want
to offer special payment terms
for approved groups of customers.
The CVV value, also called
the bank code or card security
code, is collected from the
customer and submitted to the
payment gateway over secure
https encryption. When this
value matches the card number,
the gateway will usually send
back an "approved" response
and the order is processed.
At no time is the card security
code stored. In fact, it is
a violation of your credit card
agreement to store this information
in any way. All sensitive information
that can be stored in the database
is encrypted and you have control
of the encryption keys.
